Leaking pipes and inefficient plumbing appliances are some of the leading culprits in wasted water. For Melbourne’s not-for-profit community housing organisations, the Community Housing retrofit program offers a quick and easy water-saving solution.
“It’s important for people to save water not only to reduce the cost of bills but also for the environment,” says Project manager Deb.
Through licensed plumbers, the program has done over 300 water audits, replaced over 500 shower-heads and repaired thousands of leaky taps, toilets and hot water services.
